Call for Input: Anti-Racism Grant Initiative

The Parents Reaching Out Grant Program provides funding to lead projects with a focus on the identification and the removal of barriers that prevent parents and families from participating and fully engaging in their children’s learning.

Mountview SAC has an opportunity to apply for a $1,500 grant to support initiatives/activities that engage parents/caregivers (including virtual) and build School Council’s capacity around Human Rights, Equity, Anti- Racism Anti-Black and Anti- Indigenous Racism.

Suggested initiatives for the grant application could include:

• Workshops

• Training sessions

• Information sessions with guest speakers

• Parent Resource Creation

• Conversation Circles

SAC’s Social Justice and Equity Committee will be preparing a grant application on behalf of Mountview. If you have ideas for activities/initiatives we could put the grant money towards, we would love to hear them! Please email Anna La at annalahardisty@gmail.com by Tuesday February 17. Our grant application is due by March 1.
